There are seven Saw films in total Saw I, Saw II, Saw III, Saw IV, Saw V, Saw VI and Saw 3D.
Saw 1 was released in 2004 with the final installment Saw 3D released in 2010. After Saw I, films in the franchise were released on the Friday before Halloween.
The Saw movies revolve around fictional character John Kramer 'Jigsaw' played by Tobin Bell. Jigsaw / John Kramer traps his victims in situations he calls tests or games. Few of Jigsaw's victims can survive these horrific traps as they are required to put themselves through torturous tasks.
